Session four - knowledge construction

(week 4 dates) When we discuss things we pool our knowledge and behold,  we create new (to us at least) knowledge. Here we consider the key role of the e-moderator.
1. About session four
Now onto creating knowledge....
2. Designing e-tivities
A key way to get participants involved is to set them e-tivities.
3. Opening a new topic
The onus is frequently on the e-moderator to start.
4. Giving and seeking information
Fair exchange......
5. Asking questions
Given that the e-moderator has greater knowledge, participants expect that they ask the questions.
6. Acknowledging and disclosing
There's nothing quite like recognition and saying something about yourself for encouraging others to open up.
7. Building knowledge
This knowledge may not be original, but it will be new to you.
8. Summarising
An important reminder of this powerful tool.
9. Closing down
A clean ending shows that the e-moderator hasn't gone on holiday without saying farewell...
10. The group e-tivity
Your opportunity to practice group work
